The Zocalo is the world's third largest square measuring 240 x 220 metres. It was the site of the ancient Aztec city of Tenochtitlán and is still the center of Mexican cultural, political and religious life. On the map below, you may point at a building to see a description. During the piece you could also see the Zocalo in real time from any of the three web cameras placed at the Latino skyscraper, the Gran Hotel and the Presidential balcony of the National Palace.
